Find any record by its cover, no typing required

Your collection keeps growing. Digging through it to find one specific record shouldn't. The usual way to look something up in Shelfify is to type the artist or the title, which works fine until you're standing in front of the shelf holding the record in your hand and typing feels like the slow way to do it.
So now there's a faster way in: point the camera at the cover, and Shelfify tells you what it's looking at.
See it in under 30 seconds
This is the whole flow, start to finish: import a collection from Discogs, build a shelf to match the real one, then scan three covers back to back and watch Shelfify place each one and tell you exactly where it lives.
Frame the cover, get a shortlist
Open the camera from the search field, hold the cover inside the square, and take the photo. Shelfify shows you the closest matches from your collection, ranked by how well they line up. Tap the right one and it's added, or in Find Record it jumps straight to the record's shelf location.
It works fully offline, so it's just as fast whether you're crouched in front of a shelf with great WiFi or none at all.

One button, three ways to scan
Cover photo search sits next to Shelfify's other two camera tools, barcode scanning and cover text reading, behind a single scan button in the search field. A toggle at the top of the camera switches between the three and remembers your last choice, so you're never hunting for the right icon. Use whichever fits the record in your hand: a barcode when the sleeve has one, cover photo when the artwork is distinctive, cover text when you just need to read the words off a faded or glare-covered sleeve.
Search by song, get the exact shelf, row and spot
The other half of "no more digging" is what happens after a record is placed. Search by song title instead of album, and Shelfify still finds it: which record it's on, and exactly where that record sits, room, shelf, row and position from the left or right. No scrolling through a shelf hunting for a spine.

Built for a growing collection, not a static one
None of this matters for a shelf of twenty records you already know by heart. It starts to matter at a few hundred, and it matters a lot once a collection spans multiple rooms and a memory that used to hold the whole layout starts dropping details. Cover photo search and song search are both about the same thing: keeping the effort of finding a record flat, no matter how large the collection gets.
See your collection. Know your collection. Connect Discogs, build your shelves once, and from then on finding any record is a photo, a song title, or a glance at the map, never a guess.
